Care Guidence - Wooden Furniture
  • When you place fine furniture into your home or office, give it the care it deserves.
  • Wood is natural material with variations of color shade, configuration, streaks, and grain structure. So variation in shading is considered normal.
  • Keep furniture away from direct sunlight, air vents, humidifiers and fireplaces.
  • Do not place sharp, heavy, chemical, oily objects directly on or near a wood finish. Chemicals in plastic and some rubber may soften or discoler the finish if left in contact with the furniture for a period of time. To avoid these markings, place a strip of felt, leather or cork under accessories.
  • Rearrange accessories from time to time to prevent spot bleaching. Always remember to lift objects rather than sliding them across the finish.
  • Spills should be blotted immidiatedly rather than wiped. If water stands on the surface there is possibility that it will cause white marks in the lacquer finish. Avoid setting beverages on these surfaces.
  • Cleaning the furniture often will help maintain the look of the furniture. Following the directions on the products, use a soft cloth and wipe with the grain.
  • Over time, scratches from normal use may be noticed on furniture. This is considered as normal.
  • Products made out of brass might be oxidized after some months usuage. This is the nature of the material and considered normal.

Care Guidence - Upholstery

FOR THE FRAME

  • When moving your sofa, do not lift it by the cushions sewn to the frame or move your sofa by dragging it around. The best way is to lift it from the base.
  • During the first 3 months, foam padding will become softer. This is to be considered as normal wear.
  • Armests and backests are not designed as seating nor ladder.
  • Seat cushions should be reversed regularly, and left, right, and ceter sofa cushions should be rotated to achieve maximum wear. All back pillows and throw pillows should be rotated and fluffed every 1 to 2 weeks, depending on use to keep a luxurious appearance. Also alternate your choice of seat.

FOR FABRIC

  • Vacuum regularly with an upholstery attachment, using low suction.
  • Protect from the direct sunlight. Your sofa should be placed at least 50cm away from any heat source.
  • Professional dry cleaning is recommended every 12 months to help remove dirt and soiling and to maintain te look of your sofa.
